SOPHIOR

I am always looking for beautiful and fine products to work with. Besides quality, I also find the story relevant; at SOPHIOR You find it both. Their vision revolves around creating kitchen products that are an essential part of the kitchen, not only today, but also tomorrow and for future generations.

SOPHIOR is inspiring, with a focus on sustainability, craftsmanship, and timeless design. The products are as stylish as they are functional and made from high-quality materials. The brand symbolizes connection in the kitchen and at the table – places where memories are made and traditions are passed down.

My collaboration with SOPHIOR has been around for a while now, and their products have a permanent place in my kitchen. I use the beautiful and fine knives a lot, in particular, whether for everyday meals or the lovely dishes you see online.

In my kitchen, the chef's knife is by far the most used knife. It is, of course, important that it is razor-sharp (a blunt knife is really dangerous!), but also that it feels comfortable in the hand. The knife must give you a degree of confidence that makes working with it enjoyable. The handle plays a role in this, but so do the weight and balance. These are personal characteristics; one person likes a light knife, while another wants weight; I fall into the latter category.

My favorite collection is the 'Performance' collection. I really like the hammered steel; food sticks to it less. Besides, it just looks gorgeous, doesn't it? It's a joy to take a knife like this off the block and start using it. What I also really like about the knife is the shape of the blade. When you cut, it glides very nicely over your cutting board; the curvature allows you to cut very smoothly.

The other knives are, of course, very pleasant too! They all have that fine finish, look beautiful, and you hold them in a way that provides security. With the bread knife, Lisette Bakes Especially very happy, truly a relief to be able to slice a freshly baked sourdough bread so smoothly.

You can find the entire 'Performance' collection on the SOPHIOR site; and much more. Of course, you can also visit my Bol page.
