Sweet and sour elements are delicious with so many dishes. You can quickly make sweet and sour from red onion, radish, radish or carrot, for example.
Ingredients
1 part vinegar
1 part sugar
1 part water
Optional: herbs and spices

Preparation
- Cut the vegetables wafer-thin on the mandolin or, for example, in fine julienne. I usually put onions in whole rings, radishes in wedges and carrots in strips.
- Bring the vinegar with the water and sugar to a boil. If you have additional herbs and spices, they can also be added.
- Pour over the vegetables.
- Leave for at least 20 minutes, then you can use them. Longer is of course also possible.
Tip
- If you have sweet and sour left over, you can keep it in the fridge. Make sure the vegetables are covered.
